I wonder if theres any way to improve the frames per second in the RPG maker xp program. I got vx and its so much smoother than xp. But there is a tileset limit! Which is the only reason I wont use rpg maker vx >_> I mean how stupid is enterbrain?? O.o Now Im turning back to xp, and the only thing that is better really in vx is the fps...is it even possible to improve the fps in xp?

well, just change: Graphics.frame_rate = 60 so its same as vx, but to quote the help file:
Normally set at 40. When not in [Smooth Mode], the refresh rate is halved, and graphics are drawn in every other frame. Changing this property is not recommended; however, it can be set anywhere from 10 to 120. Values out of range are automatically corrected.
However, that file is old... so lets say your project takes another 2 years to be completed, it shouldn't be any problem to any low/medicre PC then.

Umm perhaps you need an antilag script i nyour game to make it smoother, works a charm on my 8 year old PC. I find the one made by Fotz! is by far the best one.

Oh about that, just add the line under 'begin' at Scene_Main or at a similiar place.
